Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Oxford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol designated healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all who visit. This is a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and offer excellent customer service and communication while supporting a caring and people-first environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and property.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify potential hazards, and report security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential issues to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management procedures in accordance with site policies for healthcare environments.
  • Write clear and accurate reports detailing security-related observations, incidents, and activities during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
