Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Taylorsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with those on site to provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns within the premises.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment.
  • Document and communicate security-related incidents and actions taken to the appropriate parties.
  • Follow all protocols for handling security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist Allied Universal management and/or law enforcement as directed during emergency or crisis situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
