Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will play a critical role in monitoring and patrolling government locations. As part of our team, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations as needed. This position is both armed and driving, requiring a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist in controlling entry to restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support law enforcement or emergency personnel at the location as needed, maintaining clear communication and providing assistance.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to identify potential security-related risks within the government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or hold a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a corrections officer license.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or at least 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Hold a law enforcement officer license.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
