As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Weekend in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while representing Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and experience to address issues at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Perform duties while carrying an authorized firearm, in accordance with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards encountered during patrols and/or routine operations.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as needed while performing assigned responsibilities.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or at least 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
