As a Security Officer - Logistics Badge Check in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout your shift. You will engage with visitors and employees, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining clear communication. Your role will contribute to a secure environment where people and property are protected, supported by our agile, reliable, and innovative team culture that always puts people first and values integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the logistics and distribution location by monitoring entry and exit points in alignment with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following security-related procedures and offering assistance as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and report any incidents or irregularities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address access control and security-related concerns within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security-related role required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
