Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer providing security-related services at a government location. In this dynamic role, you will conduct routine armed patrols, help to deter incidents through your visible presence, and interact with individuals onsite. This position requires driving responsibilities as you navigate assigned areas, making your rounds and responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment for each situation.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with team members and/or law enforcement as necessary.
  • Operate communication devices and security-related equipment as required for the post.
  • Adhere to all site and Allied Universal policies and procedures while performing armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must have an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must possess at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
