As a Security Guard - Armed Government Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. This position requires you to be both armed and to operate vehicles as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies tailored to the needs of a government location.
  • Carry out regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, taking appropriate action in line with established protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify the identification of individuals entering or exiting the location, maintaining awareness of all persons on site.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed, including supporting evacuations and/or managing access during incidents.
  • Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports to document security-related observations, interactions, and actions taken.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to provide reassurance and help to deter unwanted activity throughout the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
