As a Security Officer – Patrol Driver Retail in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a bustling retail location. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming environment, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to any security-related situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or security-related incidents to appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, helping to manage the flow of visitors and employees as needed.
• Collaborate with retail staff to support loss prevention efforts and maintain a welcoming environment for customers.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
