Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic government location, where you will conduct regular patrols and help to deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and requires driving, offering you the chance to interact with the public and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, checking for any unusual or suspicious activity and reporting findings to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or authorization as required by site policies.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed security-related reports for management and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
