As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Hampton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible within a dynamic retail environment. Your presence and customer-focused approach will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. This role is a driving position and requires operating a vehicle as part of your regular patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by executing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately during emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting an orderly environment within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
• Observe and report any irregularities or incidents, such as property damage, theft, or unauthorized persons, to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information as needed, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere in the location.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to promote a security-related presence and help to deter disruptive behavior within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
