Job Description


As a Security Officer - Telecom Badge Specialist in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post in a cutting-edge technology, media, or telecommunications environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your responsibilities include verifying credentials, managing badge access, and delivering exceptional customer service to all individuals in the location. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities, assisting with evacuations and/or other site-specific emergency protocols when appropriate.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives about security-related concerns or incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
