Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Hotel Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a leading hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry onto the premises.
  • Complete detailed incident and patrol reports as required by Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders, when appropriate, to address incidents or emergencies on the property.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to guests and staff.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies while performing armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
