As a Security Professional - Government Patrol Unarmed Preferred in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Through routine patrols and high visibility, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, helping to deter potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement as needed while representing Allied Universal.
• Support access control measures and assist with visitor management according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Willingness to work at locations with limited on site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
