As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol NY in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with team members and site management regarding security-related incidents and activities.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on site.
  • Assist visitors and personnel with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as per Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty to help to deter potential issues within the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
