Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading hotel and resort location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment by providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to both guests and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies in the hotel and resort environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting guests and staff as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly atmosphere.
  • Assist with emergency response activities according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and the location protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency responders as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
