As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Specialist in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Your presence and attention to detail will support a secure environment, and you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and interacting with visitors or staff. Since this is a driving post, you will also be required to operate company or client vehicles as part of your daily patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, using sound judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while representing Allied Universal on site.
  • Complete required reports and logs accurately and promptly as directed by site policies.
  • Assist public and/or employees with security-related information and directions as needed.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and/or checking identification as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
