As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrols in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play an important role in helping to create a secure environment in a dynamic healthcare location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining high visibility to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance during emergencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe the flow of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and/or visitors to address questions and provide information regarding security-related matters.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and site requirements.
• Work closely with local staff and/or emergency personnel during incidents or drills to support site-specific emergency response plans.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
