As a Security Guard - Shopping Center Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling retail locations. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the area, stay visible to support a welcoming atmosphere, and provide outstanding customer service experiences. Your presence and proactive communication will contribute to a secure environment for guests and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in a retail or mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents to management and/or local authorities as required.
• Assist customers, visitors, and employees with directions and basic information about the location.
• Follow emergency response procedures as outlined for the site, including assisting with evacuations and/or other critical events.
• Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unwanted activity and foster a welcoming environment for all guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
