As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by patrolling and monitoring assigned retail and mall locations. You will remain visible throughout the property to support a secure environment, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location.
• Assist with access control and/or wayfinding for visitors and tenants as required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Document all activities, observations, and incidents clearly and accurately in written reports.
• Support emergency response activities and follow location-specific emergency procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
