As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, providing access control, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment by delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to inquiries, and assisting as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating when appropriate according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor activity within the location, reporting any suspicious behavior or circumstances in accordance with company policy.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established procedures to assist in resolving situations.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner as required by Allied Universal.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control experience and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
