As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and proactive approach will provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual conditions or activities.
  • Document and report incidents or irregularities according to established site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist staff, patients, and/or visitors with directions, information, and general assistance as needed.
  • Support emergency response procedures as required, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with healthcare personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and maintain a supportive presence on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
