As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Shift in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This armed post requires carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out armed patrols of the assigned government location, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service to individuals at the location by assisting with inquiries and maintaining a professional presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter potential security-related threats or breaches.
  • Support access control protocols, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Document and report security-related observations, incidents, and/or activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, such as evacuations or other site-specific procedures, as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must have an active armed guard card and/or license.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
