As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Supervisor in Coral Gables, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer where you'll help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling government locations. Your visible presence supports a secure environment while you engage with the public and provide excellent customer service. This is an armed post, giving you the opportunity to use your specialized training and experience in law enforcement, military, or security. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas of the location, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Remain alert and observant while on patrol to help identify unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or security-related matters in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and first responders as directed during emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures regarding armed patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
