Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a government-related location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter incidents and promote a secure environment for all. This position involves performing regular patrols while being visible and approachable, addressing security-related concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for an armed post and must be able to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and authorize entry of persons and vehicles as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate activity and provide security-related assistance to employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and public officials.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and other documentation as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Operate assigned security equipment and/or vehicles in accordance with established procedures and local regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current with security-related protocols, site procedures, and emergency response plans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required as per client specifications and applicable law.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
