As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Education in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, students, and staff by providing directions and general information as needed.
• Support access control measures by verifying identification and helping to manage building entry and exit points.
• Work closely with campus officials and/or law enforcement when responding to incidents.
• Complete incident and daily activity reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
