As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible throughout your shift, and respond promptly to incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment appropriate for an armed position.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, remaining alert to unusual or suspicious activities within the education location.
• Interact with students, staff, and visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as required.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as necessary during incidents on the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
