As a Security Officer - Access Control - Tech/Media in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client standards.
  • Collaborate with client personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
