As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access. Your responsibilities include regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service. Working with an innovative and people-first team, you will play a critical role in upholding security-related standards and supporting those on site through clear communication and integrity-driven actions.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Verify identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by communicating security-related procedures and addressing inquiries.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems as required by the location's protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
