Job Description


As a Security Professional - Media Facility Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and regular patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, responding as needed to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing communication and observation skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure environment within the technology and data center location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the facility, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
