Job Description


As a Security Professional - Gated Community Access Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a residential setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, contributing to a secure and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points to the residential community, verifying identification and permissions for entry and exit to help maintain community standards.
  • Assist with the registration and tracking of visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with local authorities and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address inquiries and/or concerns as they arise.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions at the location and report findings in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
