Job Description


As a Security Guard - Financial Reception Desk in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will be at the forefront of delivering outstanding customer service while monitoring access and managing badge protocols. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter security-related incidents and creates a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will utilize your communication skills and be comfortable using a computer or tablet as you support daily security-related operations, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first in a dynamic and professional location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to assist visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries and check-in processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and visitors, providing assistance and guidance as required.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems and visitor management tools as part of daily responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
