As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation skills as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and screen individuals entering or exiting the location, checking credentials where applicable.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual behavior, in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the government facility.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency response teams when necessary, following established communication procedures.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other documentation as required by the site and Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
