As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the assigned location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, reporting any suspicious behavior or policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management procedures as required by site-specific policies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to the environment to quickly identify and respond to unusual or emergency situations.
  • Provide directions and general information to visitors and employees as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
