Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Team Member in Lewiston Woodville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic food and beverage location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, and supporting access control. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations using a calm, problem-solving approach.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the food or beverage production facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any observed security-related irregularities, hazards, or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Coordinate with site staff and emergency services when needed to support security-related response and communication.
  • Assist visitors, contractors, and employees by providing information and enforcing access control policies as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
