As a Security Officer - Access Control Chemical Facility in West Deptford, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and verifying credentials for all personnel and visitors. You will remain highly visible, use alarm panels and computer systems, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas at the chemical and petrochemical location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and operate security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control technology to help to deter potential incidents.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access procedures.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activities according to site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any potential hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency response procedures as needed.
  • Enforce site-specific policies, procedures, and protocols related to access control and security-related operations.
  • Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters and any observed issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
