Job Description


As a Security Officer – Armed Healthcare Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents in a healthcare environment. Your presence will help maintain a secure atmosphere while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Document incidents and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
  • Support medical staff and visitors by addressing concerns and providing information related to security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and observant to potential threats or unusual activity around the healthcare location, reporting findings as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on procedures and protocols relevant to the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a current and valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable state and/or local laws.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
