As a Security Guard - Healthcare Armed Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated healthcare locations, maintaining a strong, visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents. This role requires both armed responsibilities and driving company or client vehicles as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing support and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding the Allied Universal values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including response activities during emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, helping to control access and prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns and provide information related to security-related matters.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions, reporting observations promptly according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • You must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required by the client.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
