Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Site Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires you to be armed, offering an added layer of protection as you respond to incidents and support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, supporting all security-related operations at the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to act during all shifts, adapting to changing conditions and requirements at a government site.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times, representing Allied Universal in interactions with the public and on-site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience and a combination of 3 or more years of law enforcement, military, or adult corrections experience or possess a complete bachelors degree in criminal Justice.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
