Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Financial in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a financial institution location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with visitors and employees. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and protocols, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the financial institution location in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in and around the facility.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during incidents.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal protocols and client needs.
  • Participate in training and ongoing professional development to maintain readiness for all assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a combined total of at least three years of law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of an armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
