Job Description


As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Control in Cleveland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic logistics and distribution environment. You will monitor entrances and exits, manage badge access, respond to alarm panels, and conduct regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by responding to inquiries and assisting with site-specific protocols and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to alarms and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations in logs as required by the location's protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to communicate issues or concerns related to security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
