As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Flex in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively patrol assigned areas while primarily driving, maintaining a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter security-related incidents.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a professional and courteous manner while upholding site policies.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client protocols regarding armed security-related duties and use of force, as applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
