As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Sumter, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional specializing in access control, you will monitor entrances and exits at a commercial real estate location, conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Communicate professionally with building staff, tenants, and/or visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance related to access control.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including coordinating with local authorities when needed.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and guidelines to help to deter security-related risks within the commercial real estate environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
