As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in RICHMOND, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a prestigious educational location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post; you will conduct routine patrols throughout the campus, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unauthorized individuals or suspicious activity, and report findings according to site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, students, visitors, and local emergency services as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Provide assistance and/or information to students, staff, and visitors as requested, supporting a welcoming atmosphere in an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required as requested by the client.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
