Job Description


As a Security Professional – Armed Patrol Driver – Government in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment at a government location. This position involves routine patrols, maintaining a strong and visible presence, and frequent driving throughout the assigned area. You will interact with a variety of individuals, provide outstanding customer service, and be a key point of contact for security-related matters. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed training as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Complete reports and document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services during incidents when needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or the public as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
