As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for unusual circumstances.
  • Communicate and interact with individuals at the location, including employees and visitors, to provide assistance and information as appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports related to incidents or irregularities encountered during shifts.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry as authorized.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal supervisors and team members to address any security-related concerns that arise during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • Must have one or more of the following: one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
