As a Security Professional - Access Control in Sioux City, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a food and beverage production environment, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, verifying credentials and maintaining a secure atmosphere throughout the location. What You'll Do:

• Help to deter unauthorized access to the location by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and granting or denying access based on established site policies.
• Conduct access control duties to support site-specific requirements, following procedures for guests, employees, and vendors entering the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related emergencies as needed.
• Perform regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter to support security-related operations and observe for unusual activity.
• Provide customer service to individuals onsite, answering questions and assisting with directions or information according to the location's guidelines.
• Document incidents, observations, and access control activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific standards.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as directed to address incidents or potential risks at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
