Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Nampa, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting visible patrols throughout a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will support a secure environment for those on-site, while your armed credentials will be essential in maintaining a strong sense of order. You will engage with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies within a manufacturing and industrial environment, providing customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and experience to support emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around both the interior and perimeter of the facility to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization in line with site protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, or hazards according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
  • Handle assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and training requirements, maintaining readiness for appropriate response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an active armed guard card or armed guard license as required by applicable state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
