As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Specialist in Flowood, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a food and beverage production environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere. By conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you will provide outstanding customer service and communication, assisting staff and visitors as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the food and beverage location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions or activities discovered during patrols to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
  • Support the enforcement of access control procedures and site rules as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 1 or more years of experience in a security-related role, or 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of experience as a security supervisor or manager, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
