As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Government in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points to the location and check identification or credentials as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents during each shift.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with questions or directions as needed in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Remain alert and aware of the surroundings at all times to identify potential issues or risks.
  • Handle and carry assigned firearms responsibly, following all Allied Universal and location-specific procedures and training requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
