Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for visitors and staff. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and offering excellent customer service while addressing inquiries or concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at government locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols within the government facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Report and document any observed irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on premises.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as necessary to address incidents and requests.
  • Assist visitors and employees with security-related questions and provide guidance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and help to maintain a secure environment by following visitor and contractor management procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
